George Fix is a renowned brewer and author of Principles of Brewing Science published by Brewers Publications.  Chairman of the Department of Mathematics of the University of Texas-Arlington, George was awarded the 1991 AHA Recognition Award to honor his outstanding contributions to the home brewing community.  Laurie has been an active participant in many brewing conferences and has judged in several brewing competitions.
